Men’s Swimming Drops Dual Meet To St. Olaf 119-181 Posted on November 17th, 2008 by

The Gustavus men’s swimming team lost its conference dual meet with St. Olaf in Northfield on Saturday afternoon by the score of 181-119. The Gusties won four races in the meet, including two by Matt Stewart. Stewart posted wins in the 100 butterfly (51.45) and the 200 freestyle (1:42.95), while also finishing second in the 100 freestyle (47.84).

Other event winners for Gustavus were Skylar Davis in the 1000 freestyle (9:56.92) and Josh Seaburg in the 200 butterfly (2:01.83). Davis also added a second place finish in the 500 free (4:45.43), and a third place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:03.13).

Paul Kirihara posted second place finishes in the 100 (53.82) and 200 backstroke (1:59.10), while Tyler Wakefield finished second in the 50 free (22.14) and third in the 100 free (49.32).
