The Gustavus Adolphus men’s golf team is currently tied for second place with Saint John’s after shooting a team score 302 (+14) at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite. The opening round was held at the Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. UW-Stout is in the lead after firing a 300 (+12).

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team turned in a fifth place performance after shooting a two-day total 611 (318-293) at the Saint John's Fall Invitational held Saturday at the Greystone Golf Course in Sauk Centre, Minn. and Sunday at the Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn. Freshman Tyler McMorrow turned in the top Gustavus performance with a seventh place finish (4-way tie) after shooting a 36-hole 150 (81-69).

Gustavus Adolphus freshman golfer Simon Erlandsson has been named MIAC Men’s Golf Athlete-of-the-Week for his first place finish at the Augsburg Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday in Ham Lake, Minn.

The Gustavus men's golf team shot a 54-hole total of 297-314--611 (+35) and won the 19-team Augsburg Invitational held at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday. Individually, freshman Simon Erlandsson had a breakout weekend in his first collegiate tournament, taking first place with a 54-hole total of 70-72--142 (-2).

Men’s Golfer A.J. Olson Named All-America Scholar By GCAA

Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golfer A.J. Olson (Sr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for his play on the links as well as his work in the classroom. Olson ranked third on the team with a 77.2 scoring average during the 2009-10 season while keeping up to par in the classroom with a 3.67 cumulative grade-point average.

A.J. Olson Named MIAC Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior A.J. Olson has been named MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Bobby Krig Invitational on Sunday and Monday. Olson finished second individually and recorded the low score for a MIAC golfer with his total of 74-69-72–215 (-1). Olson's second round score of 69 at Le Sueur Country Club on Monday tied for his career best 18-hole round, while his 54-hole total of 215 was the best of his career.
