Krasaway Earns Second MIAC Golfer of the Week Honor

The long winter layoff certainly didn't seem to affect the Gustavus men's golf team, or Gustie senior Andrew Krasaway (Hermantown, Minn.). The Gusties won their third-straight team title at last weekend's Saint John's Spring Invitational, and Krasaway rode a remarkable school-record opening-round score to medalist honors to continue his outstanding spring performance. For his performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Krasaway Wednesday with his second MIAC Men's Golf Athlete-of-the-Week award of the spring.

Men’s Golf Earns Third Straight Meet Championship With Win At Saint John’s Invite

One day after senior Andrew Krasaway tied the Gustavus record for lowest individual round in school history, he and his Gustie teammates earned their third consecutive meet championship by taking the Saint John's University title, which finished at the Monticello Country Club on Sunday. The Gusties finished with a three-round total of 859, four strokes ahead of second place University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Men’s Golf Earns Bobby Krig Invite Title

After entering the day five strokes back of first round leader University of St. Thomas, the Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team clawed its way to the top of the leader board to earn the Bobby Krig Invitational championship on Monday at the Le Sueur Country Club. The Gusties scored a 285 in round two and a 287 in round three for a three-round total of 873, six strokes ahead of second place Bethel University.

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team is in a tie for third place following the first round of the Bobby Krig Invite, which was held at the Ridges at Sand Creek. The Gusties scored a 301, good for a tie with Bethel and just five strokes behind first place St. Thomas heading into tomorrow's second and final round.

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's and women's golf teams are each back in action this weekend, one week removed from competition in the Augsburg Invite. The women travel to Coon Rapids, Minnesota for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Invite that will be played at Bunker Hills Country Club, while the men host the Bobby Krig Invite, with Sunday's first round to be played at The Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, Minn. and Monday's final round at Le Sueur Country Club in Le Sueur, Minn.

Gustavus Adolphus College golfers Andrew Brandt (Sr., Medina, Minn.) and McKenzie Swenson (So., Buffalo, Minn.) have earned MIAC Golfer of the Week honors as voted on by the MIAC Sports Information Directors.

Men’s & Women’s Golf Teams Win Augsburg Invite, Brandt Is Men’s Individual Champion

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's and women's golf teams were able to maintain their respective leads from Day One, and each took home first place at the Augsburg Invite this past weekend. The men, who played at Pebble Creek Golf Course, scored a combined 594 (+18), while the women, who played at Les Bolstad Golf Course scored a total of 695 (+127). Senior Andrew Brandt (Medina, Minn.) highlighted the men's team finish with an individual championship after scoring a 69 in Sunday's final round.

Men’s & Women’s Golf Teams Lead Respective Fields At Augsburg Invite

Both the Gustavus Adolphus College men's and women's golf teams lead their respective fields after one day of play at the Augsburg Invite on Saturday. The men's tournament is being played at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn., while the women's field is located at the Les Bolstad Course on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The men's squad leads second place Augsburg by three strokes (304-307), while the women are ahead of second place Bethel by 13 (345-358).
