JORDAN, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golf team is in a tie for third place following the first round of the Bobby Krig Invite, which was held at the Ridges at Sand Creek. The Gusties scored a 301, good for a tie with Bethel and just five strokes behind first place St. Thomas heading into tomorrow’s second and final round.

“It was a decent start for the guys today,” said Coach Scott Moe. “This round puts us in a good position heading into 36 holes at our home course tomorrow. Chris finished really well, birdieing three of his last four holes to shoot even par. You can’t take anything for granted heading into our home course though. We still need to hit the shots and make the putts.”

The Bobby Krig Invite concludes tomorrow at the Le Seuer Country Club with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Gustavus Scores – Par 72
