Tuesday Baseball at Concordia Postponed

The Gustavus baseball team's road MIAC doubleheader at Concordia scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday is postponed due to cold weather and field conditions. A rescheduled date will be announced in the near future. 

Baseball Picks Up a Pair of Wins Against the Cardinals

 The Gustavus baseball team completed the sweep of Saint Mary's University on Saturday with victories of 7-2 and 8-3. The Gusties are now 22-6 overall and 9-3 in the MIAC. Additionally, Jack Hanson (Sr., Minnetonka) hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning of game two, making him the first Gustie to hit 10 home runs in a season since Tony Konicek in 2007.

Baseball Sweeps Northwestern

The Gustavus baseball team enjoyed the warm temps while they heated their bats up in a non-conference Thursday afternoon game. The Gusties defeated Northwestern 9-2 in game one and 5-0 in game two and improve to 20-6 overall. 

Baseball Drops Two In Twin Bill At Bethel

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Gustavus baseball team dropped a pair of conference games to its toughest MIAC opponent this season, the Bethel Royals. The Gusties fell in the double header 4-1 and 8-6 and moves to 18-6 overall and 7-3 in the conference.

Baker Named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week

Gavin Baker (Jr., Lakeville) went 5-for-7 (.714) with six runs batted in and a home run in the Gusties' sweep over Augsburg on April 13.

Baseball vs. Northwestern Monday Moved to Thursday

The Gustavus baseball non-conference doubleheader vs. Northwestern-St. Paul scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday in Saint Peter has been moved to Thursday due to expected cold temperatures. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Gustie Baseball Field.

Offensive Onslaught Leads to Sweep Over Auggies

The Gustavus baseball team continued to dominate with a 14-1 game one win and a 17-3 game two win over Augsburg at home on Wednesday afternoon. With the wins, the Gusties improve to 18-4 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC.

Mocchi Named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week

Ethan Mocchi (Sr., Champlin) went 11-for-19 for a .579 average in six conference games last week. Mocchi drove in 14 runs and crossed home plate seven times as the Gusties went 5-1 in league play. He closed the weekend with a grand slam home run in the team's 17-1 win over Carleton on April 10. For his performance, Mocchi has been named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week. 

Baseball Sweeps Carleton Doubleheader

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus baseball team completed its weekend conference sweep winning 11-9 over Carleton with a walk off grand slam, followed by a convincing 17-1 game two victory. With the wins the Gusties improve to 16-4 overall and 5-1 in the MIAC.

Baseball Sweeps the Scots

SAINT PAUL, Minn. -  The Gustavus baseball team earned a conference sweep over Macalester on Saturday afternoon, squeaking by with a 2-1 win in game one going into extras and a 14-3 performance in game two. With the wins the Gusties improve to 14-4 overall and 2-1 in the MIAC.
