  • Six Gusties Named MIAC Football First Team All-Conference

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its football postseason awards Tuesday and six Gustavus student-athletes were named First Team All-Conference – Brayton Finch (Sr., Mount Morris, Ill.), Zach Jakes (So., Mankato), Josh Kirk (Sr., Garvin), Brice Panning (Sr., Hamburg),  Kaleb Scott (Jr., Gardena, Calif.), and Michael Veldman (Sr., Becker). 

  • Dobson Earns MIAC Elite 22 Award

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recognized some of its best and brightest fall sport student-athletes on Monday with the announcement of the fall sports Elite 22 Awards. Gustavus was represented as Trace Dobson (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) received the men’s soccer Elite 22 Award.

  • Men’s Hockey Upsets No. 7 Augsburg 2-1

    The Gustavus men’s hockey team battled back from a 1-0 deficit Saturday night to upset No. 7 Augsburg 2-1. With the win the Gusties improve to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC while the Auggies fall to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

  • Women’s Basketball Tops Macalester 85-55

    The Gustavus women’s basketball team built themselves a first half lead and continued to expand on it as it defeated Macalester 85-55 Saturday in its MIAC opener. With the win the Gusties improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC while the Scots fall to 0-4 and 0-1 in league play.

  • Women’s Basketball Hosts MIAC Opener Saturday Versus Macalester

    The Gustavus women’s basketball team will open its MIAC slate Saturday when they host Macalester for a 3 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter 2-0 overall while the Scots are 0-3 with neither team playing an MIAC contest to date.

  • Men’s Hockey Falls to No. 7 Augsburg

    The Gustavus men’s hockey team hosted No. 7 Augsburg Friday evening and fell to the Auggies by a score of 3-1. With the loss the Gusties fall to 3-4 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC while Augsburg moves to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference. 

  • Men’s Hockey Opens MIAC Play This Weekend Against No. 7 Augsburg

    The Gustavus men’s hockey team will begin MIAC play this weekend when they take on No. 7 Augsburg. Friday’s game at Don Roberts Ice Rink will begin at 7:05 p.m. while Saturday’s matchup in Minneapolis is at 7 p.m. The Gusties enter the series 3-3 overall while the Auggies are 5-1-0.

    The Gustavus women’s basketball team traveled to New Ulm Tuesday and took down Martin Luther 94-26. With the win the Gusties move to 2-0 while the Knights fall to 0-5.

    The Gustavus women’s basketball team will travel to Martin Luther in New Ulm, Minn. on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the contest 1-0 while the Knights are 0-4.
