Coach Steve Wilkinson Records 800th Career Win as Men’s Tennis Team Defeats UW-Green Bay 5-2
The Gustavus men’s tennis team defeated Division I UW-Green Bay 5-2 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday. The win improved the Gusties season record to 22-6 and it marked the 800th win of Head Coach Steve Wilkinson’s career.

Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Buena Vista Classic
The Gustavus men’s golf team rallied to shoot a strong 301 on the second day and finish third at the 20-team Buena Vista Classic. Neil Johnson finished fourth (76-70-146) to lead the Gusties. Luke Benoit finished sixth at 74-73-147.

Baseball Team Claims Important Sweep Over Augsburg
The Gustavus baseball team evened its MIAC record at 5-5 with a doubleheader sweep over Augsburg Saturday in Minneapolis. The Gusties won the first game 11-4 and the second game 14-4.

Burnsville Native Trent Larson Named MIAC Baseball Fielder of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College senior Trent Larson has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conferece baseball fielder of the week for April 5-11. Larson hit .529, scored 10 runs and drove in eight runs to help the Gusties post a 5-1 record last week.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team defeated St. Thomas 9-0 to finish MIAC regular season dual match play with a perfect 9-0 record. It is the 19th consecutive year that Gustavus has finished MIAC regular season play undefeated. The Gusties are 22-6 overall.

The Gustavus baseball team continued to struggle in close games dropping two nailbiters to Concordia by the scores of 6-4 and 8-7.

Women’s Tennis Wins Midwest Invitational
The Gustavus women’s tennis team won the 12-team Midwest Invitational by defeating Denison University (Ohio) 6-3 in the championship match. The tournament was held in Madison, Wisconsin. The Gusties, who are now 19-7 overall, are ranked ninth nationally.
