Five Gusties Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Wednesday announced the members of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Gustie seniors earning a place on this year’s team include Jamison Beulke (Montgomery, Minn.), Michael Hensch (North Branch, Minn.), Sean Kelly (Shorewood, Minn.), Jack Sorenson (West St. Paul, Minn.), and Tanner Sparrow (Edina, Minn.).

Baseball Wins Extra Inning Shutout in Game One, Drops Game Two at Saint John’s
The Gustavus baseball team split its fifth consecutive doubleheader Tuesday, beating Saint John’s 2-0 in game one followed by a 4-2 loss in the second game. The Gusties are now 12-8 overall and 3-3 in the MIAC.

Track & Field Competes at Hamline
A small contingent of the Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the Hamline Invitational on Saturday. The highlight of the meet was Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) setting the meet record in the 110-meter hurdles.

Men’s Tennis Drops a Pair in Southern California
The No. 20 Gustavus tennis team Tuesday lost a heartbreaker 5-4 at No. 22 Redlands, falling to 11-6 overall. A split squad also lost 8-1 against Hope International.

Baseball Splits Third Consecutive Doubleheader
The Gustavus baseball team Wednesday split its third consecutive doubleheader, beating Northwestern-St. Paul 3-0 in game one, followed by a 5-3 loss in game two. The Gusties are now 10-6 overall and the Eagles are 11-7.

Baseball Hosts Northwestern-St. Paul Wednesday
The Gustavus baseball team plays host to Northwestern-St. Paul for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Gusties enter the game 9-5 overall while the Eagles are 10-6.

Baseball Splits MIAC Opener with Macalester
The Gustavus baseball team opened MIAC play Sunday with a split against Macalester. The Gusties won game one 5-3 and lost the second 6-5, moving to 9-5 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Date and Location Change: Baseball to Host Macalester on Sunday
The Gustavus vs. Macalester baseball doubleheader originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Macalester has been moved to 1 p.m. Sunday at Gustavus. Macalester’s natural grass field is not yet suitable for play, prompting the location change. The Gusties enter the MIAC-opening doubleheader 8-4 overall while the Scots are 6-5.

Amanda Malo (Sr., Greenwood, Minn.) was named the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Region Gymnast of the Year, which was announced Wednesday morning.

The Gustavus baseball team Tuesday split its home opening doubleheader with Wartburg. The Gusties won game one 4-3 before a 10-4 loss in the night cap, moving to 8-4 overall.
