Blythe Bittman Places Seventh in Heptathlon

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Blythe Bittman (Fairmont, Minn.) compiled 3709 points and placed seventh overall in the MIAC Heptathlon. Bittman set a new MIAC Heptathlon record in 200-meter dash with a time of 25.54.

 

Kelli Groff Selected to Compete at NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn.) is one of ten individuals selected to compete at the 2005 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. The individuals are in addition to the ten teams selected by the Women's Golf Committee to compete at the championships.

Shanna Dawson Named MIAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College first-year Shanna Dawson (Fairmont, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. Dawson won two events and placed second in another at Gustavus' Drake Alternative on Saturday, April 30 in St. Peter, Minn.

The heat sheet is now available for the Gustavus Drake Alternative track & field meet. The meet will take place on Saturday, April 30 in St. Peter, Minn.

Men’s Golf Set to Make 21st Consecutive NCAA Championships Appearance

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team has been selected to participate in the 2005 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships. This will be the 21st consecutive appearance in the national meet for the Gusties, which is the third longest active streak in men's golf behind Skidmore (28) and Methodist (25).

 

Jon Hagedorn Named Co-MIAC Men’s Golfer of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Jon Hagedorn (Blue Earth, Minn.) and Saint John's University junior Kyle Fredrickson (Eagan,Minn.) have been named Co-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

Gustavus Track & Field Set to Host Drake Alternative Saturday, April 30

The Gustavus Adolphus College track & field teams will host the Drake Alternative on Saturday, April 30 in St. Peter, Minn. The meet will feature NCAA Division I, II, and III track & field programs.

 

Kourtney Joyce Named Women’s MIAC Track Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Kourtney Joyce (Wadena, Minn.) has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Men’s Golf Wins Saint John’s Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team won the Saint John's University Invitational on Sunday, April 24. The Gusties compiled a 36-hole score of 292-287--579 at the Monticello Country Club. Gustavus' Jon Hagedorn earned individual medalist honors with a score of 72-67--139.

Women’s Golf Places Fourth at MWCGA State Championship

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team compiled a 36-hole score of 343-334--677 to place fourth out of 13 teams at the Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association State Championship. Kelli Groff earned all-state honors and head coach Scott Moe was named coach of the year.
