Women’s Basketball Earns 79-65 Victory Over Bethel

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team rode out a 17-point, 46-29 halftime lead, to earn a 79-65 victory over Bethel University Wednesday evening at Robertson Center Gym. This improves the Gusties’ record to 13-5 overall and 8-3 in the MIAC.

Men’s And Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams To Compete In Grinnell Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Grinnell, Iowa this weekend to compete at the Grinnell Invitational taking place at the Grinnell Natatorium in the Charles Benson Bear ’39 Recreation and Athletic Center. The meet will also feature teams from Coe, Colorado College, College of Saint Mary, Loras, Luther, Nebraska Wesleyan, St. Catherine, Simpson, University of Nebraska-Kearney and University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Women’s Basketball Falls In Overtime To Saint Benedict 70-61

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team suffered a 70-61-overtime loss to the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. The lead went back and forth the entire game, but at the half Gustavus led 29-27. The second half involved much of the same, leading to a 55-55 score at the end of regulation. Saint Benedict pulled through in overtime with a 15-6 run to earn a nine-point victory over the Gusties.

The game was back and forth in the beginning, but midway through the second quarter, the Gusties took charge defensively and were able to hold the lead for the remainder of the game.
