Women’s Track & Field Performs Well at St. Thomas

The Gustavus women’s track and field team started its indoor season Friday night at St. Thomas and came home with a number of encouraging results, including two first place finishes.

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s track and field team started its indoor season Friday night at St. Thomas and came home with a number of encouraging results, including two first place finishes.

“We had many solid performances for our first meet,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “A lot of individuals performed where they left off last year and some showed they still need work, but it certainly was an encouraging meet.”

Lily Anderson won the 400-meter in 1:01.10 and took second in the 200 at 27.06, while Tierney Winter claimed first in the mile with a time of 5:26.67.
