MARLBORO, N.J. — Gustavus gymnastics Assistant Coach Erin Sawtell was named North Central Regional Assistant Coach of the Year, the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced Monday. Sawtell helped the Gusties to a record season, breaking multiple existing program records. The 2022-23 team set a record for most wins in a season with five, broke the program team score against UW-Stout (187.775), and set a new team-high score on the beam at the WIAC Championships (47.675). In addition to the record performance against UW-Stout, the Gusties added four more team scores that placed in the top 10 in program history.
