    A day removed from upsetting the top seeded team in a third set breaker, Aney and Budde were close to advancing in the national doubles draw, but lost 7-6 (4), 7-5 to Esses and Raina of Emory. Aney and Budde then lost 6-2, 6-4 against Middlebury’s Harris and Laber.

    Both the Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in the top-five at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational on Friday. The Gustie men took fifth out of 23 teams with a score of 131, while the women placed fourth out of 20 with 137 points.
