Seven Women’s Golfers Recognized as WGCA All-America Scholars Posted on July 6th, 2021 by

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Seven Gustavus women’s golfers were recently named WGCA All-American Scholars – Emily Kratz (Jr., Edina), Laurel Ward (So., Bozeman Mont.), Erin Ericson (Jr., Onalaska, Wis.), Sydney Regalado (Jr., Rosemount), Hannah Hubbart (So., Hastings), Kristin Martens (So., Sartell), and Annika Reierson (Fy., Delano). 

A total of 1,432 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with the honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team requires student-athletes to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Kratz was Gustavus’s top golfer during the 2021 spring season with an average round of 79.5. Kratz three times placed in the top-four including a sixth place finish in the MIAC Championship. Ward competed in all six tournaments for the Gusties with a season best third place finish at the Wartburg Spring Invite with an average of 81. Ericson was the second golfer in the lineup with an average of 80.6.  Regalado played in ten rounds and had an average of 82.2 strokes per round. Hubbart played in ten rounds with an average of 87.3, Martens played in five rounds averaging a 95, and Reierson finished her first-year campaign of seven rounds with an average of 90.
