BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus women’s hockey goalie Katie McCoy (Fy., Grafton, Wis.) improved to 6-0-1 and recorded her third and fourth shutouts of the season last weekend, helping the Gusties sweep St. Thomas for the first time since 2012. McCoy recorded 21 saves on Friday and 20 on Saturday. It is also the first time that St. Thomas has been shut out in back-to-back games since 2012. McCoy’s 0.71 goals-against average and .964 save percentage are both tops in the conference. For her performance, McCoy has been named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week. This is McCoy’s second weekly award this season after garnering the honor on Nov. 11
