EDINA, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team completed the Twin Cities Invite today in eighth place out of 17 teams. Saint John’s took first place in the Invitational, beating the University of Manitoba by 13 strokes.
Max Savini (Sr., Ramsey, Minn.) and Ben Hauge (Jr., Ramsey, Minn.) both shot 75’s on day three to lead the Gusties. Jacob Pederson (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) shot a 78 on Monday to cap off his solid three rounds. Hauge, Pederson, and Savini shot +8, +9, and +10 respectively for the Gusties on the event to all finish inside the top 10.
On the event, head coach Scott Moe said, “Ben and Jacob continue to play very well for us and Savini had a very good showing on the second team. We have some areas to clean up this week as we prepare for the Saint John’s Invitational.”
The Gusties will participate in the Saint John’s Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Sauk Centre and Sartell, Minn.
