BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Nolan Lepel (Sr., Plato, Minn.) played a key role in Gustavus claiming three consecutive sweeps to keep the Gusties in the playoff hunt. Lepel started the week with five hits, three home runs, and five RBI in a sweep at St. Olaf and finished with three hits in the Augsburg series, including the game-winning RBI in Game 1. Lepel also played error-free ball from his catching position with 34 putouts and two assists. The Gusties had not won three consecutive MIAC series since 2008, the last time Gustavus clinched a playoff spot.
