ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to take part in the St. Olaf Quadrangular on the campus of St. Olaf College Friday. Field and track events are set to begin at 4:00 p.m.

Schools competing among the Gusties include St. Olaf, Bethel University, and the University of St. Thomas.

Last time out: The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field competed at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic last Friday at Macalester College, turning in strong finishes on both sides.

The Gustie men claimed seven first place finishes, headlined by two each from Taylor Rooney (Fy., Andover, Minn.) and Michael Hensch (Jr., North Branch, Minn.). Rooney’s high jump of 6-5.5 tied a school record set by Jared Hokenson in 2006.

The Gustie women’s squad finished with six top times. Lily Anderson (So., Waterville, Minn.), Lydia Hayes (Sr., Decorah, Iowa), Olivia Rosenow (Sr., Maple Grove, Minn.), Sadie Klug (Sr., Waseca, Minn.), Bailey Van Den Heuvel (Jr., Mondovi, Wis.), and Katie Keelin (So., Burnsville, Minn.) each earned top crowns in their respective events.
