The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams kick off the outdoor season Saturday at the 10th Annual Point Loma Nazarene University Invitational in San Diego, Calif. The meet begins with field events at 9 a.m. (PST) with running events starting at 11:30 a.m. (PST).
Women’s hockey player Kaitlyn Klein (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) and men’s track and field mid-distance runner Kyle Fredrickson (Sr., Victoria, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College February Female and Male Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.
The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded competition at the MIAC Indoor Championships Saturday at the University of St. Thomas. The men took ninth place with 41 points, while the women took 11 place with nine points. St. Thomas won both the men’s and women’s competition with 180 and 195.5 points, respectively.
The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to compete at the MIAC Indoor Championships this weekend, hosted by the University of St. Thomas at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex in St. Paul, Minn. The Gustavus men’s track and field team competed at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic on Saturday in its final tune up before the MIAC Championships. Ten different teams were a part of the meet, eight from the MIAC, with UW-River Falls and Crown the two non-league teams.

The women will send the majority of the squad to Minnesota State University-Mankato today to compete in the Birdman Open, while a select few will travel to the University of Minnesota tomorrow for the Parents Day Invite. The men are set to compete at the St. Olaf Tostrud Open tomorrow in Northfield, Minn.
The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at Carleton’s Meet of the Hearts Saturday. The men’s team took second place out of seven teams with 168.5 points, while the women took fifth of eight with 72 points. Hamline won the women’s side with 169 points, while Carleton won the men's side with 170.5 points.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams Saturday competed at the Ted Nelson Classic, hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato at the Myers Fieldhouse. The meet included 14 institutions from both NCAA Division II and Division III. The men's squad was highlighted by a four top-10 finishes, while the women received four top-10 places as well.

The 14-team meet at the Myers Fieldhouse includes Augustana, Bethany Lutheran, Carleton, Concordia-St. Paul, Gustavus, Iowa Central, MSU-Mankato, Northwest Missouri, Sioux Falls, St. Cloud State, St. Olaf, Upper Iowa, UW-La Crosse, and Waldorf. Field events begin at 11 a.m. and running events begin at noon.
