Swimming & Diving To Compete At Two-Day Grinnell Pioneer Classic Posted on December 1st, 2017 by

ST. PETER, Minn. – After nearly two weeks without competing, the Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are set to participate in the Pioneer Classic, hosted by Grinnell College on Friday and Saturday. Session 1 starts at 6 p.m. tonight, Session 2 is 10 a.m. tomorrow, Session 3 diving is 2 p.m. tomorrow, and Session 4 is 5 p.m. tomorrow. Teams expected to compete are Grinnell, Gustavus, Illinois College, Knox College, Monmouth College, Nebraska Wesleyan, Principia College, Ripon College, Simpson College, and Lawrence University.

Women’s last time out: The Gusties hosted the fourth annual Grace Goblirsch Memorial Invitational on Nov. 18 and came away with a convincing win. The Gusties accumulated 786 points for first place. Gustavus won nine individual events and two relays.

Men’s last time out: The Gustie men also won the Grace Goblirsch Memorial Invitational, accumulating 861 points. Gustavus won eight individual events and three relays. Nolan Larson (Fy., West Des Moines, Iowa) earned MIAC Swimmer of the Week for his performance.
