NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s hockey team earned a series sweep over St. Olaf College Saturday afternoon, led by a shutout performance from Amanda DiNella (Jr., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.) and Bailey Jackson (Fy., Chaska, Minn.), as well as a three-point game from Erica Power (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) in the 3-0 victory.

The Gusties tallied even strength goals in each period and outshot the Oles 23-16, while both teams were scoreless on the man advantage.

Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) got the Gusties on the board near the the midway point of the first period, her team-leading fifth of the season. Her eventual game-winner was assisted by Power and Amelia Vosen (So., Anoka, Minn.).

Diana Draayer (Sr., Deephaven, Minn.) and Power tallied Gustie goals in the second and third frames to solidify the three-goal victory and series sweep.

Gustavus, now 3-0-1 overall and 2-0 during MIAC action, continue conference play next weekend with a series against Hamline University.
