Aunan’s score has him tied for fourth place and four strokes off the lead. Chris Captain (Sr., Rochester, Minn.) came in second for the Gusties with a 73 and is tied for sixth. Ben Hauge (So., Ramsey, Minn.) carded a 77 and is tied for 31st, while Carter Czichotzki (Fy., Moorhead, Minn.) tallied a 79 (t-35th) and Max Ullan (Fy., Blaine, Minn.) an 80 (t-43rd).

“We had two nice scores today out of Alec and Chris,” Head Coach Scott Moe said. “Looking for good scores together tomorrow. We got off to a pretty good start, then we left some shots out there on a couple of holes on the back nine. Looking for a little bit more consistency tomorrow to help us move up the leaderboard heading into day three Monday.”

The second of three rounds begins tomorrow morning.
