Men’s Golf In Ninth Place After First Round At Saint John’s Fall Invite Posted on September 16th, 2017 by

SARTELL, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team shot a first-round 311 (+23) Saturday at the Saint John’s Fall Invitational – played at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course – which has the Gusties sitting in ninth place out of 17 teams. The University of Manitoba leads the field after posting a 294. UW-Eau Claire is in second with a score of 295 and St. Thomas is in third with a 302.

Alec Aunan (Sr., Rock Island, Ill.) leads the squad after carding a one-over-par 73, which has him tied for fifth place out of 100 golfers. Chris Captain (Sr., Rochester, Minn.) posted a 77 and is tied for 27th. Joe Foley (So., East Gull Lake, Minn.) is tied for 53rd with an 80, while Ben Hauge (So., Ramsey, Minn.) and Max Ullan (Fy., Blaine, Minn.) are tied for 63rd after shooting 81.

The Saint John’s Invite concludes tomorrow at Greystone Golf Club.
