Men’s Golf To Host Bobby Krig Invite Posted on April 21st, 2017 by

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team is set to host the 2017 Bobby Krig Invite Sunday through Monday, with Sunday’s first round to be played at The Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, Minn. and Monday’s final round at Le Sueur Country Club in Le Sueur, Minn. 

The Gusties host their lone meet of the spring as the reigning champions of the Bobby Krig Invite, turning in a three-round team score of 873 (+25) to claim the title a year ago.

Augsburg College, Bethel University, Carleton College, Concordia College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Macalester College, Saint John’s University, St. Olaf College, University of Wisconsin-Stout, University of St. Thomas, and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will make up the field of competition.

Round one begins at noon on Sunday at The Ridges at Sand Creek prior to the final round on Monday beginning with an 8 a.m. 36-hole shotgun at Le Sueur Country Club.

Gustavus most recently participated in the Central Minnesota Triangular at Monticello Country Club last Friday, competing against Augsburg and Saint John’s. The Gusties turned in a team score of 294 to finish third while Alec Aunan (Jr. Rock Island, Ill.) fired a team-low and tied a season-low score of 72 to tie for third place individually.
