BECKER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team fired a team score of 316 during round of the Battle at the Creek at Pebble Creek Golf Course.

Mae Meierhenry (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) led the Gusties, turning in a score of 73.

“Mae put together a great round again, 73 was a really good score,” said Head Coach Scott Moe.  “Others had a bad hole or two, but we were really close. We battled hard and bounced back after a bad swing.”

Jessica Nelson (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) – 79

Kristen Cash (Fy., Roseville, Minn.) – 81

McKenzie Swenson (Jr., Buffalo, Minn.) – 83

Mallory Drenttel (Sr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) – 86

“This will be a totally different format for us, just our team versus another, our low score today will play another teams low score and so on, so should be a lot of fun. One really bad hole will only cost you one,” said Moe.

The Gusties will face Carleton College in the final round tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m.
