2017 Indoor Track & Field Season Begins Friday At Macalester’s Kilt Classic

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to kick off the 2017 indoor season Friday at Macalester’s Kilt Classic. The meet begins at 5 p.m. at the Leonard Center and includes five Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams: Augsburg, Bethel, Gustavus, Macalester, and St. Catherine.

Swimming & Diving Hosts Hamline On Senior Night

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are set to host Hamline University for a dual meet Friday evening at Vic Gustafson Pool with events beginning at 5 p.m.

Women’s Basketball Outlasts St. Kate’s, 83-76

The No. 22/25 Gustavus women's basketball team defeated St. Catherine University by a score of 83-76 Wednesday evening at Gus Young Court to remain undefeated, improving to 16-0 overall and 9-0 in MIAC action.

Tanner Sonnek Earns Third MIAC Athlete Of The Week Honor

Sophomore Tanner Sonnek continued his outstanding season with his third-straight MIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete-of-the-Week award. Sonnek's latest heroics included four first-place finishes in a 189-109 dual meet win at Carleton Friday. His season-best time of 2:06.05 not only gave him a win in the 200-yard breaststroke, but it also broke a Thorpe Pool record. Sonnek added individual wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.77) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.15) and contributed to a win in the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.26).

No. 22/25 Women’s Basketball Hosts St. Catherine

The No. 22-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Wednesday evening, hosting St. Catherine University at Gus Young Court. The 15-0 (8-0 MIAC) Gusties are set to tip off against the 10-5 (4-4 MIAC) Wildcats at 7 p.m.

Men’s Basketball Downed 77-60 At Hamline

The Gustavus men’s basketball team Monday suffered a 77-60 setback at Hamline University, falling to 3-12 overall and 3-7 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Pipers improve to 10-4 overall and 7-2 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Looking For Quick Turnaround Tonight At Hamline

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is looking to snap a three-game losing streak tonight at Hamline University. Tipoff of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game is 7 p.m. at Hutton Arena. The Gusties enter the game with a 3-11 overall record and 3-6 mark in the MIAC after a 79-60 loss at Carleton on Saturday, while the Pipers are 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the league after a 92-83 win at Macalester.
