Women’s Tennis Concludes Midwest Invite With Win Over Carthage, Loss To No. 23 Denison

The Gustavus women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to No. 23 Denison before defeating Carthage 5-1 on Saturday evening at the Nielsen Tennis Center at the University of Wisconsin. With their second split in as many days, the Gusties are now 12-6 overall heading into their heavy conference schedule that begins next weekend.

Softball Wins Two At Central Invite

The Gustavus softball team started the Central College Invitational with a pair of wins Saturday - 6-4 over Dubuque followed by a 7-3 decision over Buena Vista to improve to 9-5 on the season.

Men’s Golf Shoots One Under Par During Second Round Of Camp Lejeune Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team competed in the second round of the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Championship on Saturday and improved upon its first round scores. As a team, the Gusties shot a 279 in round two, which is one under par.

Women’s Golf Competes At Ponte Vedra Beach

The Gustavus women’s golf team competed in one round Friday at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club with a pair of golfers from Flagler College participating as well. Lara Ardler and Miranda Greene of Flager shot the first and second best rounds of the day at 74 and 79, respectively, while the Gusties rounded out the rest of the nine-golfer field.

Men’s Golf Competes In Day One Of Camp Lejeune Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team posted a score of 298 on Friday, its first day of the Camp Lejeune Invitational being held at Paradise Point Golf Course. The meet, which features a military veteran in each group, pairs each competing team with one other school for each round. The Gusties were paired with Chowan University on the meet's first day.

Men’s Tennis Falls To No. 12 WashU, Defeats Texas Lutheran

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team split another pair of matches on Friday in San Antonio, falling 7-2 to No. 12 Washington University in St. Louis before defeating Texas Lutheran University 8-1 later in the afternoon. With the split, the Gusties are now 15-6 overall.

Women’s Tennis Goes 1-1 On Day 1 Of Midwest Invite

After one day of play at the competitive Midwest Invitational, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team finds itself in the running for a top-5 finish after going 1-1 on Friday at the Nielsen Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. The Gusties defeated Augustana College (Ill.) 7-2 in their first round matchup before falling to No. 9 Washington University in St. Louis 7-2 later in the day. The 1-1 split moves Gustavus's overall record to 11-5.

Softball Heads To Iowa For Four Games This Weekend

The Gustavus softball team has four non-league games this weekend in Iowa. The Gusties take on Dubuque (1 p.m.) and Buena Vista (3 p.m.) on Saturday in Oskaloosa and then head to Pella on Sunday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Central.

Alex Kopp, Mohanad Alhouni Named March Student-Athletes-Of-The-Month

For the second month this academic year, junior gymnast Alex Kopp (Long Lake, Minn.) and sophomore men’s tennis player Mohanad Alhouni (Tripoli, Libya) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College March Female and Male Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

Golf Teams Competing Out Of State This Weekend, Men In North Carolina, Women In Florida

The Gustavus men’s and women’s golf teams are competing out of state this weekend during the College’s spring break. The No. 25-ranked men’s squad is participating in the 45th Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Championship in Camp Lejeune, N.C., while the women are competing in a dual against Flagler College at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The men’s meet is a three-day, three-round event, while the women are competing in one round Friday.
