Five Women’s Swimmers Compete At NCAA Championships Posted on March 19th, 2016 by

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Five Gustavus women’s swimmers represented the College at the NCAA Championships this week –seniors Leah Anderson (Apple Valley, Minn.) and Tarin Anding (Sartell, Minn.), junior Nicole Lohman (North Mankato, Minn.), sophomore Kate Reilly (Hastings, Minn.), and first-year Maggie Webster (Apple Valley, Minn.). Competition lasted Wednesday through Saturday and the Gusties fared well on the national stage. Here are the Gustavus results from the meet:

Session 1, 10 a.m., Wednesday

Event 6 – 50 freestyle prelims (Reilly takes 16th (23.51) and qualifies for finals)

Session 2, 6 p.m., Wednesday

Event 6 – 50 freestyle final (Reilly takes 15th (23.64) in the finals)

Session 3, 10 a.m., Thursday

Event 11 – 200 freestyle relay (Reilly, Webster, Lohamn, and Anding take 17th (1:35.98))

Event 15 – 100 butterfly (Reilly takes 38th (58.49))

Session 6, 6 p.m., Friday

Event 29 – 800 freestyle relay (Anderson, Lohman, Webster, and Reilly take 19th (7:43.67))

Session 7, 10 a.m., Saturday

Event 33 – 100 freestyle (Reilly takes 29th (51.87))

Event 40 – 400 freestyle relay (Lohman, Anderson, Webster, and Reilly take 20th (3:30.15))
