Platteville, Wis. – The Gustavus volleyball team rebounded from two losses Friday by beating Ripon College 3-1 and Westminster College 3-0 Saturday at the UW-Platteville Tournament.

After falling short in the first day of the tournament, Gustavus Head Coach Rachelle Sherdan is pleased with how her team responded Saturday.

“The first day I think our team fought very hard against Cornell winning first set and losing the next three sets by only two points,” Sherden said. “We played back to back and our second match we ran out of gas. We made way too many service errors on day one that cost us. We left the gym at about 11 p.m. and then played in the morning today again back to back. Our team bounced back well and played more controlled and aggressive and passed very well.”

As a team, the Gusties compiled a .333 attack percentage.
