Critical Points On The Line As Men’s Hockey Caps January Against Saint John’s Posted on January 29th, 2015 by

Sam Majka and the rest of the Gustavus men's hockey will square off against Saint John's in a critical MIAC series this weekend.

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team will take part in a home-and-home Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series this weekend against the Johnnies of Saint John’s University.  The weekend will begin with a 7:00 p.m. game at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud on Friday, Jan. 30.  The series will then come to an end at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Saturday, Jan. 31 with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.

Gustavus heads into the weekend sitting in a tie for third place in the conference standings alongside Augsburg with 15 points.  The Gusties are 6-7-6 overall and 3-3-4 in the MIAC following a split with Saint Mary’s last weekend.  Saint John’s is a part of a three-way pileup in sixth place along with Hamline and Saint Mary’s with 13 points.  The Johnnies are 8-5-4 overall and 4-3-1 in the MIAC.
