St. Peer, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s basketball team will play host to the Royals of Bethel University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference showdown on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7:00 p.m. on Gus Young Court. In a matchup between two of the top three teams in the league, Gustavus enters a new week sitting alone in second place in the conference standings at 12-3 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC. Bethel sits in a tie for third place alongside Saint Mary’s at 11-4 overall and 5-3 in the MIAC. The Gusties are coming off 55-52 win over Saint Benedict, while Bethel came out victorious 71-58 over Carleton in a pair of games played last Saturday in St. Joseph and Northfield.
