Men’s Hockey Looks To Finish First Half Strong Against St. Olaf This Weekend Posted on December 4th, 2014 by

Darren Lapic and the rest of the Golden Gusties head back into MIAC play to cap the first half of its season this weekend against St. Olaf.

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team will battle the Oles of St. Olaf College in a home-and-home series this weekend.  The weekend will begin with a 7:05 p.m. game at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Friday, Dec. 5. The series will then conclude at the Northfield Ice Arena in Northfield on Saturday, Dec. 6 with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.

Both Gustavus and St. Olaf were in action last weekend when they took part in the 2014 MIAC/ NCHA Thanksgiving Showcase held on Saturday and Sunday at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Gustavus went 0-1-1 over the weekend with a 3-3 tie against Lawrence and a 2-1 loss to Marian. St. Olaf went 0-2-0 after falling to Marian 3-1 and Lawrence 4-3. The Gusties head back into MIAC play at 3-3-4 overall and 1-0-3 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf comes in at 2-8-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the MIAC.
