Women’s Basketball Kicks Off Week With Road Contest At Saint Ben’s Posted on February 3rd, 2014 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s basketball team will look to keep the ball rolling on Monday night when it travels to St. Joseph, Minn. to face the College of Saint Benedict at 7:30 p.m.  The Gusties have won their past two games and are winners of four of their last five.  The Blazers have dropped two of their last three and are heading into the week coming off a loss to Bethel at home on Saturday.

Gustavus enters tonight’s game one place behind Saint Ben’s in the conference standings.  The Gusties are in seventh place at 10-8 overall and 7-8 in the MIAC, while Saint Ben’s is in sixth place at 10-7 overall and 7-7 in the MIAC.  In the first meeting of the season between these two teams back on Dec. 11 at Gus Young Court, the Blazers used a strong push in the final three minutes of the game to come away with a 76-73 win.
