Women’s Hockey Remains No. 5 In Latest USCHO.com Poll Posted on December 4th, 2013 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s hockey team remained No. 5 in the latest USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll this week after being idle last weekend.  It marks the second consecutive week that the Gusties have ranked fifth, and the 67th straight time ranked in the top 10.

Teams ranked first through eighth remained the same this week, while Amherst entered the poll for the first time this season at No. 9 and Manhattanville dropped a spot to No. 10 and UW-River Falls dropped out completely.  Gustavus remains the only member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) to receive recognition in the poll.

The Gusties will be back in action this weekend when they take on St. Olaf in a home-and-home series on Friday and Saturday.  Friday’s match up will take place in St. Peter with an opening face off set for 7:00 p.m.  Saturday’s contest will be in Northfield with a 7:30 p.m., face off.
