Two-Sport Athlete Amanda Cartony Featured On MIAC Student-Athlete Spotlight Posted on January 31st, 2013 by

Amanda Cartony has registered one goal and two assists for three points this season.

St. Paul, Minn. – A two-sport athlete in women’s soccer and women’s hockey, Amanda Cartony (Jr., Stillwater, Minn.) has been featured on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s (MIAC) Student-Athlete Spotlight.  The MIAC Spotlight highlights student-athletes from around the conference twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cartony, a graduate of Stillwater high school, looks to earn degrees in sociology and anthropology upon graduation in the spring of 2014.

The Gustavus women’s hockey team will step back on the ice Friday, Feb. 1st for a 7:00 p.m. showdown with Hamline at Don Roberts Ice Rink.  Friday night’s contest will kick off a two-game series against the Pipers that concludes Saturday afternoon in St. Paul at 2:00 p.m.
