The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams forged through temperatures in the mid-30’s and a surface lightly dusted with snow at the 11th Annual Lee Krough Invitational Track Meet on Saturday in St. Peter, Minn. No team scores were kept at the meet, as competing teams included Bethany Lutheran, Carleton, UM-Morris, and MSU-Mankato.

Field events will start at 10:30 a.m. and running events will begin at 12:15 p.m. Competing teams will include Gustavus, Bethany Lutheran, Carleton, Concordia-Moorhead, Martin Luther, Minnesota, Minnesota-Morris, MSU-Mankato, and North Central.

The Gustavus softball team swept Carleton 13-4 and 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. Kate Rentschler and Erin Truebenbach both got wins on the hill, while Kirsten Prunty broke out with a 5-for-6 with three runs and three RBI day. Gustavus improves to 15-9 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women’s golf team posted a third place finish out of 14 teams at the Augustana Invitational, which was played on Saturday and Sunday at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. Individually, Gustavus was led by Ann Jackson (76-82) and Kate Schenfeld (76-82) who tied for fifth at 158.
