The Gustavus women’s golf team is currently in second place after day one of the Georgianni Memorial UWEC Invite being held at the Mill Run Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. The Gusties shot a team total 336 and trail UW-Eau Claire (Blue), who leads with a team total 318. The Georgianni Memorial Invite is a 22-team competition that will conclude on Sunday at the Wild Ridge Golf Course.
Individually, Gustavus was led by senior Katie Schenfeld, who sits in fourth place with a score of 80 (+8). Junior Taylor Drentell is in a tie for 11th place with a score of 83 (+11). Sophomore Kayleigh Dittes is the only other Gustavus golfer in the top 20, shooting an 85 (+13) and sitting in a three-way tie for 17th.
