Gustavus Adolphus senior track athlete Tyler Geyen (Watertown, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 20, 2009. Geyen took first place in the 110-meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.62 at the Carleton Relays in Northfield on Saturday. His performance helped the Gusties win the meet with 163 points. Geyen’s time ranks fifth in the nation in the event.
