Dan Foley Leads Men’s Cross Country Team To Seventh Place Finish at Wartburg Posted on October 12th, 2008 by

The Gustavus men’s cross country team recorded a seventh place finish out of 13 teams at the Dan Huston Invitational hosted by Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties were led by senior Dan Foley who placed 17th individually with a time of 26:26 on the 8,000 meter course. UW-La Crosse won the meet with a score of 43. Gustavus totaled 198.

Foley led a group of four Gustavus runners that finished in the Top 50. The rest of that group included Mark Hartman (36th in a time of 27:28), John Leaf (41st in 27:37), and Nick Ross (49th in 27:48).

All of the Gustie runners scored in the Top 70 for the first time this season. Rounding out the top seven were Alex Prieve (55th in 28:10), Anders Bowman (60th in 28:22) and Dan Grannes (61st in 28:27).
