Men’s Golf in First Place After First Day of MIAC Championships Posted on October 7th, 2007 by

The Gustavus men’s golf team posted a team of score of 291 and holds a one-shot lead over defending champion Saint John’s after the first day of the MIAC Championships which are being played at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn. Gustavus was led by Jordan Hawkinson who posted a score of 70 (-2).

Hawkinson’s 70 equals the best 18-hole score of his four-year career which he recorded last year in the second round of the MIAC Championships. Others scores posted by the Gusties included Eric Harris with a 73, Ajeetesh Sandhu with a 74, Mark Stuckey with a 74, and Kyle Rohlfs with a 79.

The 54-hole tournament will continue on Sunday at Bunker Hills.
