Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams Claim Dual Meet Wins Over St. Thomas

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming teams both won dual meets against St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon at the Gustavus natatorium. The men’s team defeated the Tommies 158-118, while the women’s team claimed a 164-132 victory.

The Gusties posted nine first place finishes with no double winners. That group included:
Billy Cuevas in the 1000 free (10:24.29)
Dave Pearson in the 200 free (1:50.72)
Greg Pokorski in the 100 back (58:29)
Ben Hanson in the 100 breast (1:04.05)
Andrew Michelson in the 200 fly (2:04.50)

The Gusties posted seven first place finishes with no double winners. That group included:
Liz Hartman in the 1,000 free (11:29.71)
Sarah Koep in the 100 breast (1:08.19)
Emily Amundsen in the 50 free (26.0)
Maggie Hansvick in the 200 breast (2:39.03)
Lauren Wallerius in one meter diving (175.70)
Carrie Gunderson in the 100 free (55.53)
