Football Team Falls to St. Olaf 34-17

The Gustavus football team lost to St. Olaf 34-17 in Northfield on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties pulled to within three points at 20-17 on a Mitch Anderson touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The Oles, however countered with two touchdowns in a two-minute span midway through the final quarter to break the game open and claim the victory.

Women’s Soccer Draws With St. Kate’s 1-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team received a goal from Christy Tupy in the final ten minutes of regulation and held on for a 1-1 tie in double overtime Saturday against the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. The Gusties move to 4-9-1 with the draw.

Men’s Soccer Upsets #4 UC-Santa Cruz 3-1

The Gustavus men's soccer team moved its record to 8-2-3 with a 3-1 non-conference win over UC-Santa Cruz. UC-Santa Cruz, which entered the match ranked fourth nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, dropped to 10-1-1.

Hom and Menne Win ITA National Doubles Title

The Gustavus women's doubles team of Lauren Hom (Jr., Stevens Point, Wis.) and Marla Menne (Sr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) picked up a pair of wins Friday afternoon en route to the Division III Women's Doubles title at the ITA Small College Championships held at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.

Volleyball Team Comes Up Just Short in 3-1 Loss to St. Thomas

The Gustavus volleyball team battled #16 St. Thomas through four games on Wednesday night in St. Peter, but came up on the short end of a 3-1 score. The Tommies siezed a 2-0 lead before the Gusties rallied to win game three. The Tommies clinched the match with a 30-27 win in game four.

Men’s Soccer Draws With St. Thomas 0-0

The Gustavus men's soccer team played the University of St. Thomas to a scoreless tie Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul. The Gusties move to 7-2-3 overall and 4-1-2 in the MIAC with the tie, while St. Thomas moves to 12-2-1 overall, 5-1-1 in the league. Gustavus will host #4 UC-Santa Cruz on Friday afternoon in St. Peter.

Athletic Department Sponsoring Men’s Basketball Exhibition to Benefit Hurricane Relief

The Gustavus men's basketball team will host an exhibition game to benefit hurricane relief efforts on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Gus Young Court. The cash donations collected at this event will be combined with other donations to St. Peter Cares to aid residents of Concordia Parish, Louisiana.

Women’s Soccer Falls to St. Thomas 2-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team lost to St. Thomas 2-0 in St. Peter on Tuesday afternoon. The Gusties were led by senior goalkeeper Tori Boughton who recorded ten saves.

Jordan Stolp Named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore quarterback Jordan Stolp (Mankato, Minn.) threw five touchdown passes and ran for another to help the Gusties defeat Augsburg 42-27. Stolp's efforts earned him Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player of the week honors.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a second place finish at its own Twin Cities Classic. The Gusties tied for second place with Saint John's and finished behind champion UW-Eau Claire. Clayton Johnson led the Gusties with by placing 7th individually.
