Men’s Soccer Continues Winning Ways with 4-0 Victory Over Augustana

The Gustavus men's soccer team defeated Augsustana College (Ill.) 4-0 in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties were led by forward Alex Groth who scored two goals. Forward Caleb Bousu added two assists.

Women’s Soccer Downs Pipers 4-0

Sophomore Jenna Iaizzo and first-year student Christy Tupy each netted a pair of goals as the Gustavus women's soccer team registered a 4-0 victory over Hamline on Saturday in St. Paul. The Gusties improve to 5-10-1 on the season, 2-6-1 in the MIAC. Hamline drops to 7-9 overall, 2-8 in the MIAC.

Men’s Soccer Slips Past Hamline 1-0

The Gustavus men's soccer team stayed in contention for the 2005 MIAC regular season title with an important 1-0 win over Hamline in St. Peter. The Gusties and Pipers entered the match tied for second place in the league standings one point behind Macalester. Bobby Kroog scored the game winner thirteen minutes into the second half.

Volleyball Downs Macalester 3-1

The Gustavus volleyball team kept their chances for a berth in the MIAC Playoffs alive Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Macalester in St. Peter. The Gusties improved to 13-11 overall and 4-6 in the MIAC with the win, while the Scots dropped to 10-16, 3-6 in the MIAC.

Women’s Soccer Upended by Grinnell 1-0 in Overtime

The Gustavus women's soccer team lost 1-0 to non-conference foe Grinnell College in overtime on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers scored the game-winner five minutes into the first overtime. Tori Boughton recorded 14 saves in goal for the Gusties.

Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Augsburg 3-0

The Gustavus men's soccer team scored two goals in the first 18 minutes of play against Augsburg and never looked back in a 3-0 win over Augsburg in St. Peter. Bobby Kroog scored twice to lead the Gusties.

Men’s Cross Country 19th at UW-La Crosse

Junior Alex Zupan (Monona, Wis.) finished 77th overall to lead the Gustavus men's cross country team to a 19th place finish at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse. Zupan crossed the line in 26:01 in a 23-team field that spanned all divisions of the NCAA.

Football Team Falls to St. Olaf 34-17

The Gustavus football team lost to St. Olaf 34-17 in Northfield on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties pulled to within three points at 20-17 on a Mitch Anderson touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The Oles, however countered with two touchdowns in a two-minute span midway through the final quarter to break the game open and claim the victory.

Volleyball Swept by Cobbers 3-0

Junior Becca Thompson registered a game-high 18 kills, but it was not enough as the Gustavus volleyball team was swept by Concordia, 3-0, Friday night in Moorhead. The Cobbers improve to 19-2, 6-2 in the MIAC, while the Gusties fall to 12-11 overall, 3-6 in the league. Gustavus returns home to face Macalester (10-15, 3-5 MIAC) on Wednesday.
