The Gustavus men’s golf team finished 18th at the NCAA Championships held at Mission Inn Golf Club in Howie-In-The-Hills, Florida. The Gusties were led by freshman Mark Stuckey who placed 24th out of 120 competitors.

Softball Has Three Players Named to MIAC Playoffs All-Tournament Team

The Gustavus softball team had three players named to the all-tournament team after last weekend’s MIAC Post-season tournament. Those players were first-year infielder Julie Mahre (White Bear Lake, Minn.), sophomore pitcher Joyce DeWitz (Good Thunder, Minn.), and junior outfielder Kristin Kunz (Esko, Minn.).

Gustavus sophomore Wade Vrieze has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the period ending May 9th. Vrieze went 11-for-19 at the plate (.578) to help the Gusties post a record of 4-1 in five games last week.

Gustavus men’s golf team is currently in 23rd place (out of 23 teams) at the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships. The Gusties have compiled a 36-hole total of 329-317—646 (+70). The championships are taking place at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
