Men’s Golf in 22nd Place After First Round at NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's golf team compiled a team score of 329 (+41) and is in 22nd place after the first round of golf at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships. The championships opened on Monday, May 9 at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

Women’s Track Competes at Hamline University

The Gustavus women's track and field team competed at the Meet of the Unsaintly hosted by Hamline University on Friday, May 6 in St. Paul. No team scores were kept. Junior Kourtney Joyce (Wadena, Minn.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:26.79.

Women’s Tennis Team Wins Central Regional Title Defeating Carthage College 5-2

The Gustavus women's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Team Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating Carthage College 5-2. This will be the 17th consecutive trip to the quarterfinals for the Gusties. The Gusties, 30-2 overall, will play next at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 18-20.

The Gustavus men's track and field team competed at the Meet of the Unsaintly hosted by Hamline University on Friday, May 6 in St. Paul, Minn. No team scores were kept. Senior Alex Kestly (Chisholm, Minn.) won the discus throw with distance 151-9.

Baseball Team Sweeps Simpson 5-2 and 8-5

The Gustavus baseball team swept non-conference opponent Simpson College 5-2 and 8-5 in St. Peter on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties, who improved to 20-17 overall, will close out their regular season on Monday against Saint John's at 2:30 pm.

Men’s Tennis Team Wins Central Region Title with 5-2 Win Over Carthage

The Gustavus men's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Team Championship for the 12th consecutive year with a 5-2 win over Carthage on Saturday afternoon. The match, which was moved indoors due to rain and wind, was played at the Swanson Tennis Center on the Gustavus campus.

Baseball Doubleheader With Saint John’s Postponed and Moved to Monday

The Gustavus baseball doubleheader with Saint John's scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to rain and moved to Monday, May 9 at 2:30 pm in St. Peter. The doubleheader with Simpson set for Sunday, May 8 will be played as scheduled.

Gustavus Falls 1-0 to St. Mary’s, Is Eliminated from MIAC Tournament.

Despite only one hit, St. Mary's was able to defeat Gustavus and advance to the MIAC championship game. An RBI double by Cardinals catcher Amy Edge in the third inning was the difference, as Gustavus could only muster three hits.

Gustavus Eliminates Hamline With 3-1 Victory to Stay Alive in MIAC Softball Playoffs

A three run first inning would prove to be enough for the Gusties to defeat Hamline in the elimination game Friday afternoon. Joyce DeWitz struck out four and walked only two batters to lead Gustavus to victory.

St. Mary’s Defeats Gustavus 3-0 in First Round of MIAC Softball Playoffs

St. Mary's pitcher Jenny Schipp (21-4) struck out six, walked none and scattered six hits in the complete game six-hitter.
