Women’s Cross Country Places Third at Dan Huston Invite

The Gustavus women’s cross country team placed third at the Dan Huston Invitational on Saturday morning in Waverly, Iowa. Lydia Davitt led the Gusties in the 4 km and Nichole Petersen led the Gusties in the 6 km.

The Gustavus women’s cross country team traveled to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the Dan Huston Invitational hosted by Wartburg College on Saturday. The Gusties compiled 179 points to place third overall.

In the 4 km race the Gusties placed fourth overall with 79 points. Lydia Davitt placed fourth overall in the 4 km race with a time of 15:28 to lead the Gusties. Mollie Lager placed second on the team and 13th overall with a time of 15:41.

In the 6 km race the Gusties placed fifth with 100 points. Nichole Petersen led the Gusties by placing seventh overall with a time of 23:39. Tasha Pike placed second on the team and 11th overall with a time of 23:59.

The Gusties will host St. Olaf in a dual meet on Friday, October 22 in St. Peter, Minn.
