Men’s Cross Country Places Fourth at Dan Huston Invite Posted on October 9th, 2004 by

The Gustavus men’s cross country team traveled to Waverly, Iowa on Saturday to compete in the Dan Huston Invitational. The Gusties compiled 284 points to place fourth overall.

Gustavus recorded 157 points in the 4 km race. James Sorenson placed 18th overall with a time of 13:01 to lead the Gusties. Nathan Barten placed second on the team and 31st overall with a time of 13:28.

The Gusties recorded 127 points in the 6 km race. Alex Zupan made if five consecutive races that he has led the Gusties. Zupan placed ninth overall with a time of 26:30. Brent Magnusson finished second on the team and 19th overall with a time of 27:20.

The Gusties will be back in action on Saturday, October 16 in LaCrosse, Wisc. Gustavus will compete in the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by UW-LaCrosse.
