The Gustavus women’s soccer team suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Augsburg in double overtime in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon. Millie Suk scored for the Auggies on a penalty kick in the 104th minute. Gustavus falls to 1-8-1 overall and 0-6-0 in the MIAC, while Augsburg improves to 6-5-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the MIAC.

Augsburg outshot Gustavus 12-6 in the match, including a 6-2 advantage in the second half and two overtimes. Gustavus goalkeeper Tori Boughton, who recorded six saves, got her hand on the penalty kick in the overtime but could not keep the ball from crossing the goal line. Auggie goalkeeper Liz Osterman recorded two saves.
