Clayton Johnson Named MIAC Golfer of the Week Posted on September 22nd, 2004 by

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Clayton Johnson (Anoka, Minn.) won the individual title at the St. John’s Invitational this past weekend and was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for his performance. Johnson recorded a score of 73-74–147 at Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre, Minn. to lead the field and help Gustavus to its first tournament victory this fall. Head coach Scott Moe’s squad recorded a team score of 305-304–309 to finish ten strokes ahead of second place St. John’s. The Gustavus men’s golf team will be back in action on September 26-27 at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational in Eau Claire, Wisc.
