    Volleyball Wins Pair of 3-0 Matches at St. Kate’s Tourney

    The No. 11 Gustavus volleyball team looked every part of its national ranking Saturday, claiming two convincing straight-set victories at the St. Kate’s tournament. The Gusties defeated UC-Santa Cruz 25-9, 25-13, 25-16 and followed by beating Luther 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 to extend their winning streak to 13 matches. The Gusties are now 21-2 overall.

    Gustavus women’s tennis player Ginger Valentine (So., Delano, Minn.) wrapped up the fall season Saturday by taking eighth place at the ITA Cup at Berry College. Valentine lost 6-1, 6-1 to Michelle Uyeda of Linfield College and finishes the fall season 9-3 overall.

    Volleyball Set for Two Matches at St. Kate’s Tournament Saturday

    The No. 11 Gustavus volleyball team is set to compete in its final regular season tournament of the season Saturday as it takes part in the St. Kate’s Tournament. The Gusties enter the tournament 19-2 overall and will take on UC-Santa Cruz (6-15) at 1 p.m. followed by Luther (10-13) at 3 p.m.
